At only 6 months old country musician Andrew Hopson was adopted by a single mother, who later went on to adopt his biological brother to0. She raised both boys on her own. Years later Hopson’s adoption lawyer came to them knowing of his talents, introducing them to the music industry within the city of Nashville where Hopson was writing regularly with songwriter Steve O’Brien.
Growing up Hopson, worked as the town firefighter, often getting called out of class to answer to a crisis within his tiny town. He is also a true country boy, he loves to hunt, fish, swim and enjoy the water at Norris Lake.
Hopson’s music is a combination of country and southern rock. His mom was a fan of country music and introduced him to country greats like Willie Nelson, Charlie Rich, Reba and Johnny Cash. The first country musicians to make an impact on Hopson was Keith Whitley, Hank Sr. and Jr, Merle and Vern Gosdin. He likes older artists such as Hank Sr, that started the way for the future of country music and both as a musician and as a songwriter.
On September 15, 2019, Hopson put out his latest single “Paint the Town Redneck and it is available to listen on Spotify and iTunes. If you would like to find out more about the talented Andrew Hopson then check out his website at (https://www.andrewhopson.com).
