Joe & Martina~ Artist Spotlight!!!

Like the Country music legends before them, Joe & Martina have a united appreciation for their skill and the love held for one another is obviously shown on and off stage. Their music displays as a candid storytelling through integral harmonies; it’s a visual love story uncover with a Bakersfield outline, a taste of modern influence, and the fleeting guitar solo. 

As independent artists, Joe & Martina frequently stretch their grifted muscles while staying true to their roots and releasing clear “Country” material. Songs like “Hometown Summer Nights,” “Middle of Nowhere, USA,” and “I’ve Been Around,” has gathered the married duo various kudos including a piece by Billboard as an “Artist to Watch,” an official stage performance at CMA Fest, and granted the couple to be on the cover of Horse & Agriculture Magazine.

Despite a global pandemic appearing in the near pause of the entertainment industry, the year 2020 marks out Joe & Martina’s hugest year yet. They accordingly changed their artist name from “Terra Bella,” to “Joe & Martina,” truly marketing themselves as they are “Country music’s next legendary powerhouse couple.” They released Top 30 hit with their single “Give Me Back the 90’S featuring their Grammy-winning idol, John Berry. The single went to #28 on Music Row’s Country Breakout Chart and the duo was the only unsigned act in the Top 30 for several weeks as their multicolored, recollection music chide premiered on Billboard and another huge milestone for a completely DIY act. 

Joe who is originally bass player for the now multi-platinum artist Luke Combs, rapidly raised his lyrical reputation as a songwriter having co-written “Don’t Tempt Me,” from Comb’s This One’s For Young has since been acknowledged as a producer for only Joe & Martina material, but up and coming singer/songwriters such as Allie Colleen, Dustin Huff and social media interest Taylor Ray Holbrook. Martina’s heartfelt emotions- bring out vocal skills and cheerful stage appearance continues to charm audiences across the country. Together for over 10 years, Joe & Martina locked them a spot on show-bills along with artists like Jake Owen, Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi, Lee Brice, Montgomery Gentry and many more. 

As Terra Bella, Joe & Martina were introduced to respected producer/guitarist, Johnny Garcia, who started to coach and produce their material in between touring legs with Garth Brooks. In 2016, the debut EP Road To Forever, came to fulfillment and gained the duo’s first Billboard Indicator of (#51) and Music Row (#42) charting song with their single “You’ve Got That Somethin.” 

Originally from California’s Central Valley, Joe & Martina’s horticultural upbringing arranged them for the extreme every day and handwork that’s is necessary for starting a career in the entertainment world. As individuals, Joe was active on his family farm working with crops  and raising livestock, while Martina was a practicing equestrian and rodeo queen. The two were introduced through their musical love and soon after, the expansion of their creative efforts bloomed together with their love for one another. The couple married in January of 2012, before moving 2,200 miles to east “Music City, USA,” to further journey as a country music duo.
