When Sydni Cole was 9 years old, she got a guitar from her mom and aunt. She recently lost her grandmother to cancer and she was really sad and missed her so much. Next Cole decided to write a song about her grandmother. She had learned a couple cords and felt the healing power of music right away. She did not notice it then, but it is so noticeable now that making music is how she get through with life.
Cole writes songs about what she is experiencing (the highs, the lows and even in betweens). Her technique is a mix of traditional country, country rock, late 90’s and early 2000’s pop, and even classic rock all tied together. Some of Cole’s favorite singers and influencers are Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Rascal Flatts, Shania Twain, Chris Young, Jo Dee Messina, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Eagles, Jackson Browne and Fleetwood Mac.
On January 5, 2021 Cole’s brand new EP “Sydni Cole,” came out. The EP has a total of four songs on it. The EP is available both on Spotify and iTunes. My favorite song off the new EP is the single “Dirt Road Daisy.” If you would like to find out more about the talented Sydni Cole then check out her website at (https://www.sydnicolemusic.com).
