Country musician Krystal King has her own flavor in music since a child when she was caught a bit of Alan Jackson on the radio. From then on she was addicted to steel guitars and lyrics that portrayed an image of the modest facts of life.
After some time of jumping on her bed singing to Shania Twain, play with a toy guitar and singing songs she had written to her dog, King’s parents bought her first guitar. She took off learning new cords to play her favorite songs and quickly started to make and write her own tunes.
King, is from Hickory, NC, and has been on a musical journey taking her to her recent residence in Nashville, TN. She is a great believer in the power of music to help hearts and societies. By having this belief, King has been working during the day as a psychiatric music therapist. When she is not working, she is writing and playing music at the downtown honky-tonks and other local venues, as well as, traveling to increase her music to a bigger audience.
King’s sound is as original as her person and she is not scared to showcase some truthfulness wit in her material such as in her debut single “You Had Me at Double Wide.” King takes her inspiration from classic and outlaw artists like Willie and Loretta, as well as modern artists like Miranda Lambert, Jennifer Nettles, and Chris Stapleton to result in a twangy blues of her own.
