Sykamore is an artist/songwriter from Calgary, Canada. Her music career started in 2013, with the independent release of her first record “Petal.” “Petal,” was featured on the popular Canadian television show “Heartland.” Next, she started entering and winning many Canadian songwriting contests. While competing in these contests, Sykamore received a CCMA Nomination, and almost earned $100,000 of prize money in just 2 years.
On November 14th, 2017, Sykamore shared on Facebook that she had signed a worldwide songwriting contract with Home Team Publishing. Home Team Publishing is located in Nashville and after founder Rhett Akins, Akins’ son Thomas Rhett and manager Virginia Davis discovered her music on Twitter and offered her a contract.
