Country singer/songwriter Jess Taylor was born in South Florida and now lives in music city Nashville, TN. As a child Taylor was raised on listening to country music. Country music will always have a special place in her heart. Before moving to Nashville, Taylor used to put herself in the typical country genre and she would cover songs that were played on country radio stations. Moving to Nashville has opened her eyes to many different kinds of music styles and sub genres. Recently Taylor’s biggest inspiration has been music groups the Civil Wars and Mumford and Sons. After listening to both groups, Taylor decided to switch up her sound a little bit to Alternative/Indie Country.
Taylor has got the chance to be an opening act for country legend John Anderson and the 1990’s rock band Spin Doctors. Her newest single “Crooked Roots” is set to be release on Friday, October 27, 2017.
