Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Squares!!! (Krista Angelucci’s Recipe)

Ingredients: 2 Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough rolls ( I usually use a large and a small one)
                    8 oz cream cheese (box) softened
                    2 eegs
                    1 cup sugar
                    2 tsp. vanilla
   Grease 13” x9” pan
   Slice thin one roll of cookie dough and place on bottom of pan (Slightly press together)
   Mix cream cheese, eggs, sugar, & vanilla in bowl to make filling.
   Spread filling on top of cookie dough layer.
   Slice second roll of dough and place on top of cream cheese filling (cover as best you can but ok if not completely)
   Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and refridgerate before cutting.

Krista Angelucci~ Artist Spotlight!!!

Pop/Country artist Krista Angelucci is from Billerica, Massachusetts. Angelucci first fell in love with country music when she started to listen to artists like Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Jessica Andrews and Amy Grant. When Angelucci was only eight years old she sang her first solo in church and that is also when her family found out that singing was her passion. As she got older, she started to write and perform music of her own; she soon became a local singer of the Boston-area country music scene. She also earned some awards like New Hampshire and New England Country Female Entertainer for “Country Act of the Year” at the New England Music Awards.

Angelucci had played in many local country bands, sang the national anthem for the Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, NASCAR and New Revolution. She also was the opening act for artists like Phil Vassar, Chuck Wicks, Lee Brice, Kip Moore and Hunter Hayes.

Angelucci put out her debut EP, “Like It Or Not,” in 2012. She is now living in Nashville and she continues to improve her writing and performance skills. In 2016, she put out her second EP “Love Me Crazy.” Her second EP showcases Angelucci down to earth personality. The EP was recorded at 3rd Room Music, The Couch Room and the historic Omni Studio in Nashville and was produced by Angelucci and Chris Parker. The first single from her second EP is called “Boom Boom” and this song is becoming a favorite among Angelucci’s fans. All of Angelucci’s music is available on Spotify and iTunes.

Julia Capogrossi “Q & A!!”

1. Hi Julia, can you tell me a little bit about yourself before you became a country artist?
I grew up in Connecticut doing musical theatre, but I always listening to country and rock music! After graduating high school, I went to Indiana U for a year, but knew that Nashville was really where I belonged. So after Freshman year of college, I moved here to Nashville and I am now pursuing my dreams! 
 
2. How did you get into country music and how did you know you wanted a career in it?
I’ve always known that I wanted to be on stage and to be a singer. Country music is the genre of music that I relate to and love the most!
 
3. Who are some of your musical icons?
– Carrie Underwood, Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, and Bruce Springsteen!
 
4. What is the story behind your new single “Busch Light Budget?”
– I was at the grocery store with my friends buying drinks. We were looking at a bunch of expensive bottles but ended up leaving the store with Busch Light. We ended up having an amazing time that night and realized that it’s not about how expensive our taste is, it’s about having a great time with 
great friends! 
 
5. If you could sing a duet with a famous singer or group who would it be and why?
– Brothers Osborne –they are just purely amazing and they’re my favorite act right now. Or Maren Morris—so we could just belt a soulful song together!
 
6. Is there anything else coming up with your music for the rest of 2017?
I’m headed to Argentina in a few weeks to represent the USA and headline the 14th Annual San Pedro Country Music Festival! I was asked exclusively by Country2.com owner Gustavo Laurino to fill the spot. I am bringing my band and going with cohost Camo from the internationally-syndicated radio show, Nashville Access. This is going to be so much fun! Believe it or not, I was literally at the post office the next day filing out my passport application. I’ve never been out of the country and I’m so honored for this to be the reason. You can actually watch the festival live on the Country2.com website September 23rd at GMT-3 time which is two hours ahead of CST. 
 
7. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years with your music career?
– (hopefully…) on a big stage singing for thousands of people! (“Aim for the moon, land on a star”)
 
8. What is one of your favorite quotes?
I would have to say the quote I just mentioned above “Aim for the moon, land on a star.”
 
9. Is there anything else you would like to share?

Julia Capogrossi~ Artist Spotlight

Julia_Predsshirt-1000x600Julia Capogrossi is a country music artist and songwriter in Nashville. Being a performer runs in Capogrossi’s family. Her grandmother was a ballet dancer in London, and her mother toured as a tap dancer. Capogrossi passion for music started when she received Britney Spears “Opps!… I Did It Again” album for Christmas. When she received Spears’ album she was only six years old and was so happy she started to cry. Capogrossi was born in New York City and grew up in Stamford; CT. Growing up she also enjoyed dancing. She took tap, jazz, lyric, pointe and hip-hop lessons and she was also involved in basketball, softball, theatre, gymnastics and cheerleading

In 2011 and 2012 she won several Talent Shows and in 2013 she was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Connecticut High School Music Theater Awards. Capogrossi registered at Indiana University in 2014. After spending just a couple months there, she realized that she had a lifelong dream of becoming a country/pop singer. So after her freshman year of college she moved to Nashville.

A lot of Capogrossi’s songs are based on her own life. She thinks that music is a great way to interact and she likes the process of writing and performing her own music. Some of song titles are “When I’m Wasted,” “Round Two,” “How Did We Get Here,” “Til You Knocked On My Door,” and “Let Me In.” Her music is similar to country singer Jessie James Decker. Both Decker and Capogrossi have verses and choruses in their songs that many of their fans can sing along to.
