*Here is delicious recipe that would be perfect for a big get together for upcoming holidays like Memorial Day or Fourth of July. It would also be great to eat on a hot summer day to cool off or just to snack on. I also enjoy this recipe because it is fast to make and how you could enjoy it with any piece of fruit!!
Kalsey Kulyk~ Q & A!!!
Well to be Honest, I’ve been singing country music since I was three years old so I really don’t know how I was before then! 🙂 but music has always been apart of my life. I could never really see myself without it.
I grew up in a small town in Canada that had one radio station that played only Country, so I guess you could say it was that. But also, my family LOVED country music and always had it playing so I just naturally loved it as well.
When I was growing up I wanted to be just like Shania! Then I got older and really appreciated the songwriters. Dolly, willie, hank and a bunch more from that time. I also have a huge love for Jackson Browne. What a poet.
Well, SING AND BE HEARD is a saying that my mom helped me come up with. I believe that every single person has a story and that they should never hold back when it comes to letting that story be told. Let your true self shine and never be ashamed of who you are.
Actually I was Nominated for a Canadian Country Music award, for Discovery artist so I’m really excited to play at the CCMA’s this year and be involved with that. I’ve been living in Nashville for the last year and it’s been absolutely incredible getting to write with some big songwriters as well. I’ve got a lot of that going on this year as well as some red carpet events in L.A!Â
If I could sing a duet with anyone I think I’d love to sing a song with Jason Isbell. I just love his voice and think he’s such a great singer songwriter!Â
I just had this asked to me! I’ve made a goal list. And a few of the goals are to open up for a major country act in the next three years, be signed to a major record label with in two, release my first full length album, write a song with Travis Meadows and be a headliner in my first world tour in 7 years. Open up a dog haven for homeless dogs and give them all the love and care they need.
SING AND BE HEARD 🙂

Kalsey Kulyk~ Artist Spotlight!!!
Kalsey Kulyk is a singer/songwriter, whose small-town roots and country style soul have encouraged a journey in country music that began when she was only three years old.
Kulyk is from Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, this small-town girl has taken her powerful voice and big dreams and traveled all over North America, writing and recording country music with some impressive forces in the music industry. At only 19 years old, Kulyk moved to Las Vegas to work with famous record producer Richard Dashut, who had worked with famous musicians and groups like Fleetwood Mac.
Kulyk’s music came from her own personal experiences, and her emotional bond is obvious in each song she writes. She aims to write music that links with people on an individual level. Her sympathetic behavior and cheerful personality are transmissible and those who work with her, also thinks she has the one of the best work ethic in the country music world.
Kulyk is also working with Phaymis Records in Calgary, Alberta and her debut EP was released in March 2014. Her debut EP features her single “With You” and is available on iTunes and Google Music.

Chris Stapleton~ Concert Review!!!
So much has changed for Chris Stapleton in the last two years since his debut album “Traveller” was released. Nowadays, Stapleton’s stages, crowds and venues are growing, as seen on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Los Angeles Forum.
At around 9 p.m., the stage turned an amber red color as Stapleton, his wife, Morgane, and three band members started to play the opening notes of “Might As Well Get Stone.” The fans in the crowd started to sing right along with Stapleton and continued on through the night.
Stapleton also sang “Midnight Train to Memphis” from the 2008 debut of his former band, SteelDrivers. While singing this song Stapleton showed off his great guitar skills. It is neat to see Stapleton sings songs like “Outlaw State of Mind” and “Death Row” which showcases his unique country twang that many other artists cannot even reach.
I really enjoyed when Stapleton sang an acoustic verison of his hit song “Whiskey and You.” During this performance Stapleton’s voice was strong and it was also neat to see how far his range of his vocals could go. Next he sang his song “Parachute” which is a mixture of soul and southern rock. Stapleton then performed his cover of Charlie Daniels’ single “Was It 26,” which was potent and lively.
Stapleton’s wife Morgane’s did a bluesy solo cover of one of my personal favorites, “You Are My Sunshine.” Morgane’s pure voice was heard throughout the song especially in the third verse. Stapleton ended his show with more new material, as well as some old favorites like “Fire Away.” This song showcases the flexibility and dedication of Stapleton’s love for country music.
His show started off right around 7 p.m. with opening acts, Lucie Silvas, a British country singer, and Marylands duo, Brothers Osborne. Brothers Osborne played a45 minute set including their own popular hits “21 Summer” and “Stay a Little Longer.” It was a wonderful night of country music with three talented acts that I feel have long lasting careers in the country music scene.

Cowboys & Angels Clothing Brand~ Q & A!!!
Cowboys & Angels:
Story: Ashley Meyer started Cowboy & Angels in May 2016. The company is located in Southern California and they carry the latest country western styles for the whole family and also home goods. Make sure to follow them on instagram and Facebook for giveaways and promo codes!!
- Hello, can you give me a little bit of background about your clothing line?
I started Cowboys & Angels in May 2016. I started it as a side job, while I worked a full-time job. Originally I had created my boutique because of my passion for country music and also to offset the high cost of daycare. It begun as a resell boutique, but over the past year it has evolved into something much bigger. Only two months after starting Cowboys & Angels, I was laid off from my regular job and with a second baby on the way it was then that I knew I needed this business to grow. I sat at my computer around the clock, sometimes 10-12 hours a day just working on Cowboys & Angels. Before I knew it, my hard work started to show and the company begun to quickly grow. Coming up on our one year anniversary not only do we carry tons of brands, but we also have started a handmade/custom section within the store. This will launch within the next couple weeks, but we will be adding to it all the time. I have hats, apparel, baby onesies, jewelry, lanyards, coozies, mugs, tumblers, and more that are being made daily!
- How did you decide on the name Cowboys & Angels and was there any other names that you were going to choose instead?
The name was probably one of the hardest choices I dealt with! It took weeks of brainstorming to figure out what name would best suit the store. I wanted the store to not only appeal to women, but men as well. The other name I came up with is Whiskey Whispers, this actually is still one of my businesses. For awhile, I have been making handmade items under this name.
- Where do you see Cowboys & Angels in the next 5 to 10 years?
I see Cowboys & Angels becoming one of the most well-known country western stores. I see us attending nearly every country music festival. We’re also talking about opening locations throughout the US.
- Has any country music worn any of your clothing items?
I don’t think so. Not yet at least. We have tons of customers so there is actually a good chance we just don’t know it yet! I do have some amazing country music artists following our social media. Sarah Ross is one of my all-time favorites. I about died when she commented on one of our photos. Ben Haggard also took me by surprise and likes our photos constantly. It is truly amazing that in just the short amount of time Cowboys & Angels has been around, that we are already being noticed!
- What have been some of your best selling items?
We have Vintage Flag Vests in stock that sell out like CRAZY! I tend to sell out of those weekly and I have already bought out all of the inventory from two of my vendors. We carry tons of bullet jewelry, which is a HUGE hit. It’s a constant cycle of our inventory. For handmade items, I haven’t released much just yet! For those that know I have always been custom making items, my custom baby onesies are one of my biggest hits. I’m expecting a lot of my handmade items to sell like crazy once it’s released!
- For the rest of 2017 is there anything new coming up for your company?
We are going to be seen in a couple magazines! We are sponsoring the Hesperia Wranglers Queen’s Contest, as well as attending a ton of events this year. We’re also looking to move the company into a new warehouse as we’ve definitely outgrown our current location.
- What was the first item you ever created for the line?
The first item I sold would be a custom baby onesie that read “Daddy’s Little Mechanic in Training”.
- What is one of your favorite quotes?
“Drink Some Coffee. Get Your Boots On. Turn Up Some George Strait, And Get It Done”.
