Alexandria Corn: Artist Spotlight!!

Alexandria Corn was born on May 16, 1993 in Upstate New York. At the age of five, Alexandria was singing and dancing around her kitchen to classic rock hits with her mother. When she was 14 years old, she had the opportunity to record music in a real recording studio. The first song she recorded was Ferige’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” She also performed the song at a talent show and from that day she learned any stage she sang on was where she belonged.

Alexandria started to take vocal lessons with experienced singing coaches, one of which was Nicole Pryor, a recent cast member of Phantom of the Opera at The Venetian Casino in Las Vegas. At the age of 15, Pryor gave Alexandria the chance to perform in Las Vegas with “The High Rollers” band. When she turned 16, she auditioned for American Idol and received a golden ticket from the judges. She would continue onto three more rounds, but her journey would end right before the nationally televised Hollywood shows. After her time on American Idol, she was offered a gig in the Himmelstein’s Pop Academy in Hollywood. She spent two weeks with the best in the industry. After her time at the academy, she recorded her first song with Andrew Lane, a Pop/R & B producer and songwriter.

She also took an interest in musical theater, taking vocal lessons and theatre classes with Alicia Loomis. Alexandria stared in productions of “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, “Footloose”, “A Chorus Line” and “AIDA”. She graduated with a Theater Studies minor at Ithaca College; a school known for their performing arts. This past year Alexandria traveled to Nashville and attended the CMA awards. She met Jillian Farrar, a publisher and writer, and the two began writing songs together.

Alexandria wrote her latest single “Say It Again” with Jillian and A. Helms. Alexandria is currently living in Los Angeles and focusing on recording an EP. Hopefully, her EP is released soon, so country music fans can enjoy some new hits by a talented artist. If you want to find more out about Alexandria then checkout her website
